The Gippsland region is abundant in natural assets, including its wind and solar resources and with the local skilled workforce will help to drive Victoria’s renewable energy transition. Victoria and specifically Gippsland has world-class wind resources, and the shallow seabed of the Bass Strait making it a very desirable area for Offshore Wind.
Renewable energy can reduce greenhouse gas emissions, create jobs and provide a sustainable energy supply. VicGrid has generated an interactive map of the Victorian Renewable Energy Zones.
Southerly 10 has developed a comprehensive interactive map including videos and indicative visualisations of the Star of the South project.

Blue Mackerel visualisations are part of our Seascape and Landscape Visual Impact Assessment (SLVIA), which will inform the project’s Environment Impact Statement (EIS) – a critical study that is under development and will be published for public comment in the future.
